How much does a website cost?

Packages start at $500 for a 3-page Starter Site, $700 for a 5-page Business Site, and $1,000 for a Pro Site with up to 8 pages. After the build, hosting runs $25–$50/month depending on your plan.

If you just need a single-page landing page, ask me about the $299 Launch Page — it's the fastest way to get online and start showing up in search.

What does the monthly hosting fee actually cover?

Your monthly fee covers server hosting, your SSL certificate (the little padlock in the browser), and — this is the important part — a real local person you can contact when something needs updating. It's not just a server bill. It's ongoing access to me.

How does payment work?

50% deposit to start. 50% when your site goes live. Nothing is due until we've agreed on a scope and price. Monthly hosting starts after launch. No surprise fees, no hidden costs.

Can I pay in installments?

The 50/50 split is the standard structure, but if you have a specific situation just ask — I'm a real person and I'd rather find a way to make it work than lose a good client over timing. Send me a message and we'll figure it out.

What's the difference between the three packages?

Starter ($500): 3 pages, mobile responsive, contact form, your branding applied. Best for crafters, solopreneurs, and businesses just getting online.

Business ($700): 5 pages, Google Maps embed, basic SEO setup, social links. Best for local service providers ready to grow.

Pro ($1,000): Up to 8 pages, photo gallery or blog, email list opt-in, two revision rounds. Best for businesses with multiple services or a growing audience.

Do you offer refunds?

The deposit covers work already done — discovery, planning, and initial design. If something isn't working out before launch, we'll talk through it. I've never had a project go sideways because I stay in communication throughout. You'll see the site before final payment is due.

How long does it take to build my website?

Starter Sites: 3–5 business days. Business Sites: 5–7 business days. Pro Sites: 7–10 business days. These timelines assume I have everything I need from you upfront — your content, photos, and any logo files.

Need it faster? Ask about rush builds. It's possible depending on my current schedule.

What happens after I contact you?

Here's exactly what to expect:

  1. You send a message or fill out the contact form.
  2. I respond within 24 hours (usually faster).
  3. We have a free 30-minute call — I learn about your business, you ask me anything.
  4. Within 24 hours of the call, you receive a written proposal: exactly what you get, exactly what it costs.
  5. You pay the 50% deposit and we begin.
  6. You review the site, we make one round of revisions.
  7. Your site goes live. You pay the remaining 50%.
What does the free call involve? Am I committing to anything?

No commitment, no credit card, no pitch. The call is a conversation — I ask about your business, you ask me questions, and we figure out together whether we're a good fit and what you actually need. You'll leave with clear answers even if you don't hire me.

How do revisions work?

Starter and Business packages include one round of revisions — you review the completed site and give me a consolidated list of changes. Pro packages include two rounds. Revisions cover content and layout adjustments; they're not full redesigns. Additional revision rounds are available at $75/hour if needed.

Can I see the site before I make the final payment?

Yes — always. You'll review the completed site on a staging link before final payment is due. The second 50% is only collected after you've approved the site and we've completed your revision round.

✍️ Content & Photos
Do I need to provide all the text for my website?

Not necessarily. I can write your website copy for you — $100 per page — based on a short intake form you fill out about your business. I write in a warm, conversational style that sounds like a real human, not a corporate press release.

If you prefer to write your own content, I'll give you a simple content guide that tells you exactly what I need for each page.

Do I need professional photos?

Good photos help, but you don't need a professional photographer. Clear, well-lit photos taken on a modern smartphone work perfectly well. I can also source high-quality stock images that match your industry and brand if you don't have your own.

What if I don't have a logo yet?

I offer logo design as an add-on: $150–$250 for a clean, professional logo delivered in multiple formats (PNG, SVG, etc.) that you own forever. We can also build your site first with a text-based logo and add a graphic logo later — totally up to you.

What do I need to have ready before we start?

The more you have ready, the faster your site gets built. Ideally:

  • A general idea of what pages you need
  • Any existing logo files (or be open to creating one)
  • A few photos of your business, products, or yourself
  • A rough sense of your brand colors (or trust me to suggest them)

Nothing is required upfront to start the conversation — the intake form and free call help me gather what I need.

🚀 After Launch
What if I need changes after the site goes live?

That's what the monthly hosting plan is for. Clients on the Hosting + Maintenance plan ($75/month) get content updates included — new hours, updated pricing, a new photo, an added service. Just text or email me what you need and I'll handle it.

One-off updates for hosting-only clients are available at $75/hour.

What happens if I want to cancel hosting?

No long-term contracts. If you decide to move your site elsewhere or take it down, just give me 30 days' notice. I'll provide you with all your site files so you can host them anywhere. You own your content — always.

Will my site show up on Google?

All packages include basic SEO setup — meta titles, meta descriptions, mobile responsiveness, and fast load times, all of which Google rewards. Business and Pro packages include Google Maps embed and expanded SEO meta setup.

For ongoing local SEO (Google Business Profile management, monthly blog posts, local keyword targeting), ask about the Hosting + SEO plan at $150/month.

Are you going to disappear after launch?

No. This is actually one of the core reasons TwinklesWebCo exists. I've heard too many stories of web designers who take the money, launch the site, and vanish. The monthly hosting fee keeps me in your corner. I'm local, I'm reachable, and I answer when you text.

What if my business changes and I need a bigger site later?

That's the plan, honestly. Site upgrades start at $300 depending on scope. Because I already know your business, upgrades are faster and cheaper than starting from scratch with someone new. I also offer booking integrations, shop/product add-ons, and full rebrands as your business grows.

Is an AI-built site actually good quality?

Yes — and here's the distinction that matters: AI-assisted is not the same as AI-generated. I use AI tools to design, write, and build faster, the same way a contractor uses power tools instead of hand tools. The result is cleaner, faster, and more precise — not lower quality.

Every site I build is reviewed, refined, and customized by me before it ever goes live. Your site is built for your business specifically, not churned out from a template.

Will my site work on phones?

Yes, always. Every site I build is mobile-first — meaning it's designed for phones first and then scaled up to desktop. Most of your visitors are finding you on their phones. Your site will look great on any screen size.

What is website hosting and why does it cost money?

Your website files have to live somewhere on the internet — that's what a server does. Hosting pays for that server space, your SSL certificate (the security padlock), and uptime monitoring. Think of it like rent for your piece of the internet.

With TwinklesWebCo, your hosting also includes access to me for questions and updates — it's not just a bill for empty server space.

What's the difference between a website builder (Wix, Squarespace) and hiring you?

Website builders are tools. You still have to design it, write it, and figure out how to make it look professional — which takes most business owners 30–80 hours and still results in something that looks like a template.

Hiring me means you focus on your business while I handle everything. You get a custom site built in under two weeks with no learning curve, no wrestling with drag-and-drop tools, and no weekends lost to "why does this not look right."

Do you work with clients outside Southern Oregon?

Yes. My focus is Southern Oregon because I know this community and I love serving it, but everything I do can be done remotely. If you're outside the area and want to work together, reach out — I'm open to it.

How do I get a domain name?

If you already have a domain, great — I'll connect it to your new site. If you need one, I can walk you through purchasing it (usually $12–$15/year through Namecheap or similar) or handle it for you as part of the setup. Domain registration is not included in the package price but it's a minor cost.
